PHD Virtual Rapidly Expands Channel Partner Ecosystem for esXpress
New Partners Embrace esXpress’ Virtual Backup Appliance Architecture and Ability to Seamlessly Integrate with Traditional Physical Infrastructure Backup Solutions
SAN FRANCISCO – September 1, 2009 — During VMworld 2009,
PHD Virtual Technologies, provider of the pioneering
esXpress data protection and recovery solution for virtual machines, today announced that it has seen a rapid expansion of its channel partner ecosystem for esXpress, an autonomous, fault-tolerant backup and restore solution which enables the virtual infrastructure to back itself up. The rapid adoption of virtualized infrastructure environments has resulted in the exponential growth of PHD Virtual, and, in turn, has fueled growth opportunities for value added resellers and integrators across the country and around the world. Today, PHD Virtual has nearly 3,000 resellers located across North America, Europe, South Africa and Asia Pacific regions.
“Since its launch three years ago, esXpress has become a key component of our exclusive Virtualization World View software portfolio and a fixture in our resellers’ solution sets,” said Patrick Castenie, Director of Sales, Lifeboat Distribution, PHD Virtual’s worldwide distributor. “By creating small virtual machines called Virtual Backup Appliances (VBAs), esXpress not only protects VMware from within the virtual server itself, but it also interoperates seamlessly with traditional, physical backup solutions that customers already have in place, so they don’t need to invest in additional hardware or software. For resellers and their end user customers, it’s fast, scalable and cost effective – and ideal for protecting VMware environments.”
“We are laser-focused on delivering the product and programs that optimize the success of our channel partners,” said Joe Julian, executive chairman, PHD Virtual. “Our goal is to be a channel and OEM focused organization by the end of the year, and as such, we are committed to expanding revenue opportunities for our global reseller network by continually enhancing lead generation, marketing and brand awareness activities to increase lead volumes and business opportunities for our partners."
Since the launch of its comprehensive partner program, Channel Xpress, PHD Virtual has seen dramatic expansion of its partner ecosystem including the addition of over 200 partners in North America, and international expansion throughout Northern and Southern Europe, China, Korea, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
PHD Virtual’s Channel Xpress partner program enables partner success through a comprehensive suite of marketing programs and materials, dedicated pre-sales and post-sales support, in-depth training, rebates, promotions and a registration lead portal. Channel Xpress offers simple, success-based partner categories and discounts.
“We are very excited to offer a partner-only program as one example of how we enable partner success,” said Vic Jovino, director of channel sales, PHD Virtual. “With the launch of the esXpress ‘Essentials’ bundle, available only through resellers, first-time end-users will be able to purchase three licenses of our esXpress Professional Version, with Gold-level support included for the first year at very attractive pricing.“
