Sales Engineer
The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance to the Sales Team and Channel Partners. The two main areas of focus are: “Technical
Pre-Sales Support” and “Channel Enablement.” The Sales Engineer’s primary focus
will be on pre-sales technical support of new and existing customers as well as working with and supporting Channel Partners during the sales cycle. Another area of focus is “Enabling Channel Partners” in their ability to learn and sell PHD’s technology.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in sales calls, webinars, conference calls, product presentations, demonstrations, and trainings with Customers and Channel Partners.
- Ensure success of customer evaluations and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
- Build and maintain excellent Channel Partner relationships that lead to successful completion of the sales process and repeat sales.
- Work closely with the Technical Support team to solve Customer and Channel Partner technical
issues.
- Participation at various trade shows, conferences and marketing events as needed.
- Documentation of client feature requests and issues.
- Author technical whitepapers and blog posting on a consistent basis.
- Occasionally support consulting engagements.
Requirements:
- Prefer 2-4 years of Pre-Sales experience.
- Proven
track record working as part of a sales team while providing technical leadership in large accounts
- Good understanding of a subset of the following technical categories: Virtualization, Monitoring products, Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, Windows), Enterprise Applications, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Network and Systems management, Security, Internetworking and Storage Area Networks.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Fluent in English
- Good organizational skills and ability to keep track of the current status at multiple accounts simultaneously
- Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Experience conducting training or consulting engagements
- Travel at least 50% of the time to Partner and Customer locations.
- BA/BS or equivalent required.
