QA Test Engineer - Morris Plains, NJ

PHD Virtual Technologies an innovator in the virtualization market place is currently looking for a QA Test Enginner based out of our Morris Plains, NJ office.

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong technical background and experience with software programming and scripting. Candidate should be able to apply this experience to build, improve and enhance our testing practices. The candidate will report to the Director of Software Engineering.

 The qualified candidate will:

• Perform hands-on testing (e.g. regression, smoke, feature, system)
• Define testing requirements/objectives, and author test cases for highly complex technical issues
• Integrate and work with developers to develop the best tests suites to ensure quality product
• Design and build a custom test framework leveraging automation tools, custom APIs, hypervisor APIs, to automate regression, stress, and performance product testing.

Candidate Requirements

• 4+ years software QA experience
• 3+ programming and scripting experience(e.g. in Bash, Power Shell, Perl, C/C++) a plus
• Experience with Linux and Windows a must
• Experience testing infrastructure products a plus
• Experience with Virtual Machines (i.e. VMware, Xen)
• Experience developing and implementing regression, and feature test suites a must
• Experience with building automated testing a must
• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. QTP, SilkPerformer, SilkTest) a plus
• Good written & oral communication skills are mandatory
• Experience working in a team environment
• Honest, open, passionate, positive "can-do" attitude, self-sufficient
• Ability to rapidly absorb new concepts - either technological, or industry related
