PHD Virtual Service Provider Solutions
PHD Virtual Backup solutions are designed and optimized to provide advanced data protection of virtualization platforms in both hosted and cloud service provider environments. Our unique solution architecture offers several benefits over alternatives on the market. Whether you are hosting a virtual data center, virtual desktops or providing cloud based backup offerings, PHD Virtual can help you optimize data protection and provide valuable services to your customers.
PHD Virtual is the only provider that offers virtualized backup and recovery solutions for VMware and Citrix environments. Our unique approach leverages a virtual backup appliance (VBA™) to enable high-performance data protection that seamlessly scales for large and distributed deployments. Unlike alternative solutions, PHD Virtual Backup removes the need to deploy and manage a separate physical server, additional software, scripts or agents for backup and recovery of Citrix and VMware environments.
PHD Virtual Backup Offers a Unique Solution for Service Providers
Completely Virtualized Solutions
No Physical Backup Servers, No Proxies, No Agents, Just a Virtual Backup Appliance
Our unique VBA™ Architecture provides a completely virtualized footprint, leveraging a small virtual backup appliance that easily integrates into your virtualization infrastructure in the data center or at the customer site. Our solution is built to scale with and within your virtual infrastructure and doesn't require separate physical servers or agents to be deployed like other solutions.
Snaps In to Your Virtual Infrastructure and Scales Seamlessly
Deploys within your existing architecture, providing integrated management
Our solution deploys as a small virtual appliance on your existing virtualization infrastructure. Whether you are using VMware vSphere or Citrix XenServer, you don't need to modify or add additional components to your reference architecture. Single pane of glass management is provided directly through vSphere Client or Citrix XenCenter. Scaling up or scaling out for increased demand is easily accomplished by deploying additional VBA's. Unlike other solutions, there is no need to add additional physical servers or appliances outside of the virtual environment for scalability or fault tolerance.
Optimized Backup over LAN and WAN Environments
Source-side deduplication enables efficient cloud based backup
Leveraging our TrueDedupe™ Technology we can provide the most highly efficient LAN/WAN based backup solution with the minimum impact to your network. Deduplicating and compressing backup data on the source side at the host ensures that the only minimum amount of unique data needed for backup is transmitted across the wire, unlike other solutions which can have a dramatic impact on the network or require more bandwidth. This technology enables effective cloud based backup for virtual environments without the need to deploy a physical server at the client site.
Dramatically Lower Backup Storage and Solution Costs
Efficient backup storage and lower management overhead
Leveraging our patent pending TrueDedupe™ technology, we provide the best data reduction across all of your virtual machines minimizing the amount of backup storage required. Our customers regularly achieve an average deduplication ration of 25:1, reducing backup storage needs by 96%. Since our solution deploys as a virtual appliance and is integrated into the virtual management consoles, deployment and management overhead is minimized and there are no additional costs for physical servers, agents or additional software and maintenance.
